I have been testing Trisquel Sugar this week both with a Live-CD and with a Live-USB. Everything seems to work in Sugar but the computer does not make any sound. This is particularly wrong for the "Speak Activity" which is based on text-to-speech capabilities. These capabilities do not work in Sugar.
I guess the cause is a software problem because I have tested it in two different computers (Asus Eee and Acer Aspire) with the same result. In these computers I have Trisquel 8 already running with Orca speaking, so it is not a hardware problem.
For the tests I used the version: trisquel_8.0_i686
Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.
