Any plans to update the default icons to look more modern?

I do like the current default Trisquel icons as they sort of give it the "Trisquel" feel.
However, in a time where software companies are going for a more "material" or "flat" approach, it seems that these icons may appear outdated to users looking for their first 100% free distro and may cause them to look elsewhere.
Are there any plans at this time to update the icons so that they look more modern, such as to something like the Papirus icons?
While still keeping the old icons in the Appearance menu, of course.
