Benchmarking Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 vs. GNU/Linux

Unfortunately benchmarking Hurd based systems in a virtual machine does negatively affect performance since most VM's have operating system specific optimizations to keep performance reasonable. It is rare to see a hurd system installed natively to give more realistic results.

Even so it isn't too horrible, which is nice.

Yeah, everyone says such bad things about Hurd that I expected the benchmarking and last week's DistroWatch review would be a lot worse.
