Brisk-Menu on Trisquel 8 ?

I read that trisquel 8 will come with Mate and no longer with Gnome 3, so wonder if version 8 will comes with the brisk-menu.

No, because MATE in Ubuntu MATE 16.04 (Trisquel 8) is GTK2 and Brisk Menu is GTK3 only. May have to wait until Trisquel 9.

I thought the Brisk-Menu could be compiled using both the gtk2 and gtk3 libraries. I will continue to use xfce with WhiskerMenu on Trisquel for quite some time then.
