Cannot get Gmail time to equal local time on my Trisquel OS
Hi
I need to use gmail for work, but weirdly when I use it through the Abrowser browser, I cannot get the time to harmonise with my machine (on Australian Eastern Standard Time). Gmail instead seems to default to Iceland time (UTC +00:00).
Am pretty sure the issue is on the Trisqel side, as if opened on other OS and other browsers.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
It might be because Abrowser has geolocation disabled by default. This is a feature, not a bug, in terms of privacy, but if you would like to help Gmail and other sites determine your location, you can open a new tab in Abrowser and select "Enable Geolocation" in the privacy settings.
That must be it. I did indeed deactivate geolocation on it, didnt realise that would cause the gmail time to not work. Thanks heaps!
Gmail is a proprietary email client.
Gmail is a proprietary email client. Icedove is a good free/libre one.
You can communicate with Google's email servers with it.

Gmail has a basic HTML interface which doesn't require running JavaScript.

oh yeah, i forgot about that. it's been ages since i've used google
mail.
You can use Protonmail instead of Gmail.
Thank you all.
Re icedove - it struggled a bit with the volume of email on my gmail. I do not want to use gmail, but work requires it. I use mykolab/icedove for personal communication.
Thanks again for assistance, really appreciate it.
Cheers
