I have a HP Deskjet 950c printer being shared via CUPS on an openSuse box. Before I installed Trisquel Taranis I could print to it with the local opensuse laptop over the network. I can't seem to do it now. When I got to MM>System>Administration>Printing I can "detect" the printer. But, when I try to "verify" or print with it nothing happens. The queue says there's an error and the add interface says it couldn't verify it.

Please tell us which printer. I have the same problem with a locally
attached printer. It is recognized and even installed but it just blinks
an orange led when I send a print job. My printer is a Lexmark E120.

oh... sorry, I fixed my problem. The issue with mine is that during the resolution it pulled the hostname of the server. When I replaced the hostname with the IP it worked. I think it was trying to resolve the hostname to IP and it wasn't getting an IP.

Hostname was igor.extranet.nephilimhalls.com which is not reachable externally and I don't have an internal DNS server to resolve the name.
