How do I change my user profile pic from the Trisquel logo to my own picture? Ideally, how do I do it from the command line?

Save the picture you want as "~/.face" (that is: a picture named ".face", hence hidden, in your home folder, ~). At least I believe it is the way I did it. Mine is in the PNG format but I guess other formats work as well.

Done. What size is it? Mine is large, and it does not seem to show up
on the lock screen. It's just blank now, now image at all.

Figured it out! The image had to be PNG format, 96x96 pixels. I copied the avatars to ~/.face.
