Copy/Paste in Nautilus not working

Hi everybody,

I just switched from Mint to Trisquel 7 (for philosophical / societal reasons actually) and am very happy with it so far! Great job! Anyway, I just tried to copy a folder in nautilus (ctrl+c) and paste it to create a copy (ctrl+v) - either I am missing some fancy new way of doing this or it is a bug, but it didn't work. Sorry, if this had already been posted, couldn't find anything. If you need any further information, please tell me!

Best and thanks for everything,
Sam

Update: I found out that it does work nicely with holding either shift or ctrl and dragging the folder to its desired destination - both moving and copying work well. So was it intended that the ctrl+c/v - solution is not in there? In that case I would argue that this certainly decreases accessibility for new users... Just my opinion ;-)

Welcome to freedom!

This reminded me of this accessibility related thing https://trisquel.info/en/issues/12125

Trisquel 7 is not yet a release but a beta and bugs are to be expected. Guess you just found one.

Thanks for the kind welcome, freedom feels good ;-) I guessed that it is just a bug - is there any better way to report it?

I already added a link here to that issue, so I guess there is no need to do more here.

However if you find another, you can find a link titled Issues on the right hand side menu and one the issues page a Create a new issue button.

If you're not sure whether something is a bug perhaps it's then better to start a thread here on the forums.
