Do you get called a "ludite"?

Do people think your choice in hardware and software makes you a ludite? I've been called that before, but I never really had an answer and I suppose my answer now would be "I use the fastest hardware with the best software that meets my computing standards and protects me from anti-features. Sure newer hardware is faster, but it doesn't meet my computing standards and protect me from anti-features".
