Does MiniFree make shipments with scale?
Near 2 months ago I bought (or just paid) a laptop from MiniFree and I filled the form according where I live, in Canary Islands.
It was not strange for me that "Continental Europe" appeared when I chose a province from that autonomous community and not in the case of others as I tested before to send the form (I can confirm I filled it correctly not only because I remember it but because I have the confirmation mail sent to make the payment and the information is referenced correctly).
Yesterday I received the confirmation from the director that the package was going to be shipped yesterday (already shipped today). I couldn't read the mail at the same moment but like 4-5 hours later (but not still shipped as referenced in the tracking).
The issue was after reading the attached files where it is referenced in a wrong way:
> Echedey Lopez Romero
> La Luna, 13
> 35250 Ingenio
> Pontevedra
> Pontevedra
> 36001
> Spain
I sent a mail yesterday since I saw that but was the director already referenced in the MiniFree webpage, she is busy with the workload in general.
Since I have changed my old key with a new one and I signed that mail with that key (and was ciphered with the key from the director) I sent other mail just today to confirm if it was received or not (I am not sure since she didn't reply the first mail).
So that, my question is here to confirm if it was a mistake or it is normal for a region such as Canary Islands. But from my point of view is very rare to see a shipment with scale and the final postal code be the first one (xx001) in the region where is going to be shipped first.
I sent a mail yesterday since I saw that the director already referenced it in the MiniFree webpage*
It seems that the information provided by Interparcel today confirms that the delivery address which was put by the sender was wrong.
> Mon 25th Nov 14:56 The company or receiver name is incorrect. This will delay delivery. We're attempting to update this information Pontevedra, ES
The package is being returned to the sender, in this case Leah, as a result of the issue.
Just saw this update on https://minifree.org
"UPDATE (10 December 2019): I've got most of my orders done. Financially I'm in the shit. I have just enough money to make shipments, for all my current orders, but not enough money to order more stock, or even to buy food. Therefore it'll be a while before Minifree can come back. This also means that if you've asked for a refund, currently I'm unable to provide one."
Yep, I suggest making an entirely new thread on this. :/
I cannot afford to help her now, I already donated some of my excess to a cause already.
:(
Me too. I am worried about it.
Has someone received any mail from Minifree in the last months or contacted with it and receive a response?
