Free Software solutions for LabView

Read on the topic that python is used in replacement of labview. I don't have any personal experience about this.

There is Scratch. It is very famous... but educational and not compiled. It is in Trisquel's repository.

Perhaps there needs to be a project to start this?

I have found a possible replacemnt, but it seems to be very disorganized
and seems to have licensing issues, besides it seems to still depend on
LabVIEW. For now I prefer not to recommend it to the general public.

However, if someone is a developer that can help change the problematic
situation, and also if you want to help out in any way, then we could
get in touch privately or in a development-specific mailing list, IRC
channel or XMPP chat or group/channel.
