Hey everyone,

So I was given a bluetooth weight scale, it's supposed to be used with the proprietary Android app, which I don't use. I did a search on F-Droid and came up with https://github.com/oliexdev/openScale which however doesn't support my model.
I then ran a search for Ubuntu programs that would perform a similar job, but found none. Does anyone know if there is a program that could take data from a bluetooth weight scale and present it in usable form in a computer? Thanks!

I wonder if the scale has a display on it so that it can display results without a computer or phone? Just curious how tied it is to this and if the scale has any functionality at all if it's not connected through bluetooth to something else.

It has a display but only for showing weight itself. I should have mentioned it's a more elaborate scale, it also gives other information such as body fat, water level, etc. It's not just a scale to know how much you weight at that moment. But those features all require an app to work with the device.
