I stand corrected, then. The download page makes no mention of this, from what I could tell.
That is interesting because if you look on the
[https://code.google.com/p/google-opt-out-plugin/ code page] it says it is
apache licensed.
NoScript is better and safe.
I already use NoScript, so would Google's plugin be redundant, or cause trouble?
Also, does anyone know if Google's implementation of their own code is free? If it isn't, that is really stupid on their part.. Why would you make something like that permissive to begin with? Isn't the purpose to at least seem more transparent?
If Google's version is proprietary, is it possible to get a free one?

Not at all, this is part of their tricks, as they know people are much involve in open source, but eventually the code within includes other license.
