I have a doubt if trisquel have 3d acceleration support these processors with intel igpu
Intel i7-7500U Intel HD Graphics 620 I do not think ?
Intel i7-6500U Intel HD Graphics 520 I don't know ?
Intel i7-5500U Intel HD Graphics 5500 Maybe ?

The last one is a Broadwell so it should work just fine.

The first one though is a Kaby Lake, it won't work AFAIK.

Do you specifically know of proprietary software (firmware I guess) that Kaby Lake's graphics need? I mean, Torvald's kernel (including proprietary software) supports Kaby Lake's graphics. I don't know the specific firmware but apparently one is needed for the damn thing to operate :/

I hope the blobs are optional and only for specific things such as "HEVC/H.265 video decoding" (mentioned in the article). Anybody with more info?

I'm going to buy a laptop but want to have 3d acceleration for games and hardware options are with these hd graphics and i did not want to have bad surprises when install trisquel
