grub set to wrong resolution

Hi all

sorry a bit of a linux noob question

I installed trisquel (dual booted) without a problem, on rebooting the system, all I am getting is the monitor saying "out of range" on a blank screen, I presume that grub is set at the wrong resolution for my 19" monitor.

How would I change the resolution of the grub menu so that I can use it?

I can currently only load trisquel by using the enter key (and guessing) but I cannot access any other OS

cheers

Trisquel is the only OS you'll ever need! :)

But to answer your question, in /etc/default/grub uncomment the GRUB_GFXMODE= and run update-grub. You need super user privileges to do these things.
