Hello all, just wondering if Trisquel has any plans to come to the ARM architecture in the near future?

I pre-ordered on of the EOMA68 "Libre Tea Computer Cards" from Crowdsource and it uses an ARM processor so I was just curious.

I believe next version will support it. I may be wrong, I just think I read that somewhere on this forum.

I saw a speech Rubén gave a few years ago in which he said that Trisquel will produce an arm port when there was suitable hardware to run it on. The Libre Tea would certainly fit that description.

I think he will focus on Trisquel 8 first (Or will it be part of that? Hmmmm...).

I don't recall seeing any announcements of ARM support, but I would certainly encourage it especially with the Libre Tea card being a thing. I actually ordered a card for my mom, and it would be nice to be able to give it to her with Trisquel rather than Debian (I'm 100% sure that Parabola would be a terrible idea for her). Not only because Trisquel is a 100% libre OS, but also because it's what she's used to.
