How to add and select gnome shell themes?

Hello friends,
I've decided to give gnome shell a try (on trisquel 6). I managed to tweak it to a greater extent. But I am unable to find how to add and select additional themes. I am familiar with a more recent version of gnome (which runs on fedora.) And it has an option to add and select gnome themes and shell extensions from gnome tweak. But in Trisquel that option is not available.

I've seen some active gnome shell users here. How do you add/remove/select themes?

Thanks very much in advance.

You need a special extension called the "User Themes".[0] GNOME 3.6 added a "Shell Theme" option for changing the shell theme if you have this extension installed, but I don't know how you do it in GNOME 3.4 (what Trisquel 6 uses).

Thanks! I installed it. And yes, I remember this is how you do it on Fedora (with a newer version of gnome shell).

But on trisquel I still don't see a way to select themes.

gnome-tweak-tool on trisquel doesn't has themes section.

gnome-tweak-tool from Gnome3 ppa will fix that, but don't install
anything else from gnome3 ppa it might cause more issues

Try copying them in /usr/share/themes.
