What the new (hopefully more decentralized) contribution pipeline?

I've started reading LFS (Linux from Scratch): http://www.linuxfromscratch.org ... Is this all I need to know to be able to contribute? What else is needed?

One thing you can help with now is assembling a list of packages that need to be blacklisted from Ubuntu bionic. You can use the xenial list as a base.
