Unrelated, but: I like your "SPUTNIK" avatar.

IceCat is set up to start a Tor proxy when you enter private browsing mode.

But I'd suggest you forego IceCat's Tor support and use the Tor Browser Bundle instead (just extract the appropriate GNU/Linux binary somewhere in your home directory).

Please tell me how to enter private browsing mode in GNU IceCat. I already did a Google search to no avail.

Under the menu, "New Private Window".

You don't need to- the Tor Project have already done the heavy lifting.
Tor Browser is a modified Firefox preconfigured to work with Tor. You
can get it here: https://www.torproject.org/download/download

You said "Trisquel linux". This is incorrect.

Operating system: GNU
Kernel: Linux
Distro: Trisquel GNU/Linux
US pronunciation: Triss-cull guh-noo slash linnucks
Spanish pronunciation: /tri:skel nju: kon li:nuks/
