how it is possible to I make "persistent" USB 57.7G ?
Good evening,
I am from Greece, how it is possible to I make "persistent" USB 57.7G from Windows 8.1 64 bit?(FAT, eFAT, NTFS)?
I try with "Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.8.0" who accept persistent mode like for "linuxmint-18.3-cinnamon-64bit" but is not persistent boot . Exist other to I make persistent mode?
How can I install Skype? version to send SMS?
if you want, I wait for your answer...
thanks a lot...
.
Unetbootin has an option to make a persistent file. Skype is proprietary, so you won't get help here, I'm afraid.
hello, with Unetbootin, won't boot at all, do you know other like as Unetbootin ?
With persistent file system? No, I'm afraid. Unetbootin should be fully functional. Check your download, try another image or another USB flash memory stick. Also, check that BIOS or Boot Menu has USB device chosen as the bootable medium.
You can use Wire as a free software alternative to Skype: https://wire.com
Not only Skype is proprietary (hence unjust) software but it is known spyware. Read https://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2013/06/20/project-chess-how-u-s-snoops-on-your-skype/ and https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jul/11/microsoft-nsa-collaboration-user-data for more information.
"Wire" as I see is not free...
Free software has nothing to do with price. Free as in 'free speech'. I'm not sure what the license is, Affero and "open source licenses".

As far as I could check, Wire is free software: https://trisquel.info/forum/videotelephony-trisquel-7#comment-126629
It is gratis too. Here is a DEB package (I assume your system is 64-bit): https://wire-app.wire.com/linux/debian/pool/main/wire_3.0.2816_amd64.deb
With GDebi (installed by default), you only need to double-click on the .deb file to install the package.
