I finally have one rival

Due to the shortage of hard disks (owing to Chia mining), I'd like to accept any hard disk from dark market, as long as it doesn't have bad blocks.

Then I purchased one 80-GB disk for about $5. I did SMART assessment as well as read/write benchmark, and only paid the $5 after all the tests passed.

When I went back to my lab and deployed the disk, it did work almost perfectly for the first few minutes. However, I subsequently got endless I/O error. Even the SMART data couldn't be accessed any more.

I also checked a few more disks purchased from the same seller form dark market, and discovered that some of them did have counterfeit labels or artificially modified SMART data. I did find something strange of them when purchasing, but still purchased them any way (despite all those anomalies), because I've been in dire need of hard disks. I still need to buy many disks from dark market, maybe dozens, maybe hundreds of them.

Therefore, the seller really vexed me a lot. I finally have one rival now. (Someone suggests that I should make her an honest lady. It's insane...)

I must agree - the future Mrs. nadebula.1984 would probably sell you a decent hard drive if you would put a ring on her finger.

My friend said something like "she has the disk if you have the ring". It's insane as I replied. How could I possibly make someone annoyed me so much my better half...

It's more efficient that way. You don't have to be like other couples and wait until you've been married a couple years before you start annoying each other half to death.

It's a bit of a complicated story for us to follow, but we firmly support your efforts all the same. After socialist revolution, there will be no rival any more, I think.

As you probably know, such powerful rings have been destroyed long ago, in a famous touristic volcanic place. No existing ring is powerful enough to make someone honest, although many are powerful enough to make someone dishonest.
