I want to use dwm instead of GNOME.

According to uname, I'm using:

3.13.0-68-lowlatency #111+7.0trisquel2 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 10 04:15:48 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

dwm README says: "Add the following line to your .xinitrc to start dwm using startx exec dwm" ( http://git.suckless.org/dwm/tree/README )

No results are returned by sudo find / -type f -name ".*xinitrc.*"

What's the equivalent of adding "exec dwm" to .xinitrc for Trisquel?

just create a file named .xinitrc in your home folder

Thanks jbar.

The Debian wiki page talks about a menu trail like "Gnome System Menu > Preferences > session" ( https://wiki.debian.org/Xinitrc )

For the life of me I can't find these menus. Are they still valid?

Isn't it what is now called "Startup Applications"?
