I'm having video problems after a recent update.

gThumb has stopped playing video properly. If I'm looking through image files in it, and then I click on a video, it opens the video and the audio plays, but the video is just a still of the last image file that was open. And in VLC whenever I stream anything over the internet, I get get audio, no video is rendered, but the VLC does expand to the correct size of the video.

I'm not sure what to do here. Help please?

Which packages got updated? You can find the answer in dpkg's logs at /var/log/

That's Trisquel 7, right? What kind of a GPU do you have? (lspci)

I'm using a Libreboot X60. It's GPU is this:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
