ISO not installing

I've burned two separate 64-bit ISO discs of the new release. Unfortunately, when booting from either of them on my Ubuntu 64 9.10 laptop (AMD processor), the boot screen with options correctly appears, but any subsequent selection, either to install or try, goes immediately to a blank screen.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you!

I had the same kind of problem trying to install Trisquel from CD, although it was burned to an old CD-RW (perhaps that matters in some way, I don't know).

But when I installed from a USB flash drive, it worked fine.

I experienced this, but try using the option 'safe graphics mode'. That worked for me.
