JS: Can't create account?
Is there a way I can create an account? Which scripts are free/libre
and which are proprietary? Doing this research is hard.

In general I'd start by viewing the page in Icecat (or another browser with LibreJS) installed. Unless you're on a free-software focused website it will detect all JS as non-free because no one else uses LibreJS-compatible license tags. However, LibreJS will provide links to all scripts and you can check them out manually.
There are two[1] scripts[2] on this page that have both a free license and human-readable source code, so they are free*. However, whitelisting them is not enough to register. You still can't scroll and are stuck with an evil Recaptcha[3], whose source code is obfuscated and loads additional JS from gstatic.com, and which by completing you would help train Google's AI.
*That is if you consider any JS on the web to really be "free." It can certainly give you freeoms 0, 2, and 3, but I'm not sure that it can really give you freedom 1 if you can only use the unmodified version on the site in question.

I noticed I posted this to the wrong list after I hit "Send". I
apologize, and anyone with the means to do so may move it to misc.
