KDE on Trisquel
Since Triskel is no longer an installation option, what is the future of KDE in the Trisquel family? I'm currently running it, and I'm wondering if I should switch to Parabola for the future.
Triskel can be installed with a sudo aptitude install triskel.
➜ ~ aptitude search triskel
p triskel - KDE desktop environment for Trisquel
p triskel-recommended - Trisquel base metapackage.
Regarding your doubts about a KDE in Trisquel; an interview with Rubén Rodríguez, the leader of the project, was mentioned the fact that there is a volunteer currently working on a KDE version of Trisquel:
Note that even if Triskel ends up unmaintained, that's just stylization of KDE, basically. As long as Ubuntu continues to have it in its repositories, and I don't see why it would stop, Trisquel will, too. Even if you can't install the "triskel" package, you would still be able to install the kde-plasma-desktop package.
