Since the introduction of the 802.11a networking standard, there have been
a number of improvements to that standard. In order of increasing speed,
the "a" standard has been superceded by b, g, n, ac, and ax. As far as I know,
the fastest libre driver available is for the the n standard. ThinkPenguin.com
sells a libre USB-A wireless dongle that provides 802.11n wireless
networking through a USB-A port, and I have used it successfully on
two computers running Trisquel-11.0-beta and one running Linux Mint 21.
I also have discovered an alternative to that which also worked on those
three computers.
The alternative is the CableMatters "3.0 to Gigabyte Ethernet Adaptor",
made in China, which also plugs into a USB-A port and receives
one the two male connector of an Ethernet cable.
You would think this might be faster than the 802.11n solution, but I
have not seen this, possibly because I am using a category 5 rather than the
recommended category 6 Ethernet cable.

After noticing that the October 4 trisquel-11.0 beta image is still the latest one available for download, I add to my previous post that that beta image recognized the ThinkPenguin.com wifi, but on my machines it would not connect to it. It would, however, recognize and connect to the "3.0 to Gigabyte Ethernet Adapter". If there is something I should do to help improve the beta image, please let me know.

I believe you need to install wpasupplicant manually for wifi connections to work if you are using the live beta image for Trisquel 11 Aramo.
