How do you set the mac address?
Thank you.
Of course, there are challenges in doing it at the operating system level: The MAC address isn't consistent all the time. So another option is to edit the MAC address in libreboot and then re-compile it. And then it's set at a lower level: The boot firmware, and doesn't need to be set inside the OS and is then OS-independent. It would be good because then the router (with libreCMC of course) will always assign it the same IP address and same hostname even when I boot the Trisquel installer or some other media, and etc.

That there is another reason to put the right MAC address in libreboot.

Then I misread about the mac address. I thought it is not
possible to get the original mac address into
libreboot.rom and then flash it onto the mainboard.
Can you provide instructions?
About libreboot have you flashed the original
mac address onto this mainboard?

This requires further explanations.
