Hello,

The LibreJS add-on on IceCat is not allowing any page to load, it just keeps spinning, but nothing loads. I installed it on Abrowser and it also stopped all pages from loading there. What's the problem? What can I do?

It works just fine for me in Abrowser. Try a different page? Some places have serious failures with JavaScript disabled. gnu.org might be a good start, since it will load just fine with no JavaScript.

It won't load gnu.org, nor this forum, nor any other site. Sometimes a DuckDuckGo seach pages loads... but not the pages.

I did an experiment now, and the result was unexpected. I installed LibreJS on Firefox in my office's computer, which runs Windows 10,and guess what? The same result, it blocked every page from loading!

This shows the Libre JS extension to be truly cross-platform; LOL. Have you considered the extension called Noscript instead? I use this; it lets me white-list those few instances where I want script to run, blocking the rest. Maybe someone, better-informed than I, can explain how LibreJS decides what script to allow; I think part of its rules involve license text in the comments?

There seem to be a fix to this problem now. 6.0.10.1-let-fixed.
Its loading pages very slow but atleast its now loading pages as it should.

It broke with the update to 6.0.10 for me. Worked perfectly before.

I've installed 6.0.10.1-let-fixed on both IceCat and Abrowser, but still it is blocking any page from loading...

I'm not sure if this is related, but some time ago, I also had a similar problem, in which my web browser would load some pages, but others not.

For the times in which a page wouldn't load, sometimes it would just display a message about a connection problem, but in other times, the very same page wouldn't be loaded because of some "OCSP" error (I don't really know much about it to tell you the truth).

Procedures I tried so far:

1. Disabling, applying, and then enabling and applying OCSP by: web browser menu → click "Preferences" → click "Advanced" → click "Certificates" → toggle (uncheck if checked, and vice-versa) "Ask OCSP servers for confirmation of the current validity of the certificates". This is done to clear the responses received from the OCSP servers, since they seem to not be cleared with the conventional function to clear the browsing history.

2. Disabling HTTPS Everywhere and SpyBlock.

I've tried your suggestions, but still isn't working...

LibreJS freezes my browser whenever I try to load trisquel.info. This happens on no other website.

[SOLVED] I uncheck the option 'Display notifications of the Javascript code being analyzed by LibreJS' and now it works.
