That just affects standard nonfree Linux kernels, but Trisquel uses Linux-libre that doesn't have any nonfree leaks. Thanks to Parabola and jxself. :)

Pardon my interjection as I do not by any measure intend to be rude but have you actually read the article?

the kernel vulnerability (CVE-2018-17182) is a cache invalidation bug in the Linux memory management subsystem that leads to use-after-free vulnerability, which if exploited, could allow an attacker to gain root privileges on the targeted system.

actually i belive debian uses their version of the linux libre kernal but i dont think there is cause for alarm at all it will get fixed sooner or later and will reach trisquel eventually
