[Linux] for the rest of us on FCC killing free software

Well, so this is about the FCC killing free software and supporting money giants like Microsoft and Apple, Right?
I don’t know if there specificity trying to support money giants

It's about the FCC rules which would ban any level of libre or third party firmware/operating systems from basically all types of devices. Apple and Microsoft operate on another playing field so it's not even comparable. The net result would be proprietary software everywhere- or at least not software you can modify and use because of the locks. It would be like having the source code, but the device being read-only.
I think they, try to reduce/destroy alternative networks like "Freifunk" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freifunk) or similar networks.
How would tbis affect Android, which uses the Linux kernel and is licensed under Apache?
