So I bought the first wifi adapter in this list: https://www.pandawireless.com/Drivers%20|%20Panda%20Wireless.html. Anyway I thought it would work with linux libre because I think the source is available, I think this because you have to compile the driver. I could be wrong. When I insert the device into my laptop it shows up but says "device not ready, firmware needed". I went through the instructions to get the driver but I keep getting errors when trying to compile it. I'm not sure if someone knows but does this device have any chance of working, or anyway to install firmware.

After reviewing the source code, it appears that it relies on proprietary software to operate. I recommend a different one that doesn't:

OK, I'm going to purchase that one, plus I get a 5% discount because I'm a FSF member.
