Nepomuk is actually disabled ...
Searching for a usable browser to cope with the extraordinarily slow Internet, I installed Rekonq, but that browser:
1. Insists that I choose a search engine before it will work properly, even after I had already chosen one; and
2. When I try to set a bookmark, red text appears, saying, "Nepomuk is actually disabled;" but Terminal says that it cannot locate package Nepomuk (nepomuk) even though Add/Remove Applications says that I've already installed it. But the chosen bookmarks are added to the bookmarks file anyway.
The only times during the day that my Abrowser will open webpages at finite speed are early in the morning, before 8:00 EST. Even this forum is almost impossibly slow. These conditions first became intolerable in late August 2017.
Even installing S/W through the Trisquel archives is extraordinarily slow. Is this the Internet of the future ?
If it depends on the time you use Internet, then it has nothing to do with your operating system and everything to do with you Internet provider.

You betcha. This morning between 8:00 and 9:00 EDT all was copacetic; then the brakes locked up.
Doesn't matter which browser I try.

When I try to access Cpanel, the login is quick, but then it redirects to ... an endless wait.
If it's not the stock market, or break time at work, then it must be kids not doing their college homework, or their newly freed parents having breakfast.
