New FSF-sponsored disto: GuixSD

Has anyone here used it yet? It's still in Alpha stage and not yet
production-ready but has anyone here installed and tested it already?
I'd like to know your thoughts on this.
I've tried it- setting up my wifi was utter hell, as it kept complaining my wireless was "Not Ready"-
when that passed, Parted said it formatted my hard-drive, but it did not.
I'll try again next version...

First, as a Trisquel user and fan, I am going to say that I am
happy with Trisquel.
That said, the FSF/GNU/FaiF hacker's ideal is to have a "true"
FSF-developed bootable OS. I have tried GNU Hurd and now tried
Guix. On my laptop for use on the go, neither are quite there
for the average user. Guix looks to me about a year+ away from
being ISO-ready for the everyday user. However, for the more
advanced hacker, Guix is ready now and my thought is, "if you
can hack it, use it" and also do help the project get to that
ISO-ready target for everyone else to use.
For me, I'm sticking with Trisquel because it does everything
I want, respects my freedom, and it makes me smile: I'm Irish
and the triskele represents me nicely :-)

6.1 System Installation
This section explains how to install the Guix System Distribution on a machine. The Guix package manager can also be installed on top of a running GNU/Linux system, see Installation.
6.1.1 Limitations
As of version 0.8.1, the Guix System Distribution (GSD) is not production-ready. It may contain bugs and lack important features. Thus, if you are looking for a stable production system that respects your freedom as a computer user, a good solution at this point is to consider one of more established GNU/Linux distributions. We hope you can soon switch to the GSD without fear, of course. In the meantime, you can also keep using your distribution and try out the package manager on top of it (see Installation).
Before you proceed with the installation, be aware of the following noteworthy limitations applicable to version 0.8.1:
The installation process does not include a graphical user interface and requires familiarity with GNU/Linux (see the following subsections to get a feel of what that means.)
The system does not yet provide GNOME and KDE; it provides Xfce, though, if graphical desktop environments are your thing.
Support for the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) is missing.
Few system services are currently supported out-of-the-box (see Services).
On the order of 1,200 packages are available, which means that you may occasionally find that a useful package is missing.

I installed the package manager
its so good
GUIX is also the package manager, complete functional, and now becomes a distro.
I use the GUIX package manager for a while, and I also tried the qemu distro.
My thoughts:
1º GUIX is based on NIX pack manager, which don't follow POSIX file structure. The packages are placed at HOME, and we should link it to /USR or upgrade ENV variables.
2º GUIX is closed to the GNU project: for example they use the DMD instead of systemd, GUILE, etc...
3ª It has been developed closed to GUILE, what is a remar(hac)kable thing.
4º There are not many packages (compared with Debian, Arch, ubuntu, etc.). The list so far -> https://www.gnu.org/software/guix/package-list.html.
Like they said, still alpha. Hope that became a full featured distro
