Noveau 3D-driver went away

Hi

Up to now, I've been using free systems(mainly BLAG and Trisquel) without 3D-support, because I value freedom over performance(I'm not a gamer, and don't really NEED 3D).

But I was happy to read that Slaine would offer a free 3D-driver, and installed it as soon as I got Slaine. It worked well, and I couldn't notice any difference from the proprietary Nvidia driver I used when I had Ubuntu.

But now(possibly after an update?), somehow it seems that my system has reverted to the driver without 3D-support. What has happened? And how do I get 3D working again?

Appreciate any help,
Daniel

Verify that you have xserver-xorg-video-nouveau and
libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental installed and that your xorg.conf has
nouveau set as the driver.

Good luck,

Thanks for your reply

But unfortunatly, it didn't work for me. Both of the packages are installed, and nouveau is set as the driver. I still can't enable deskop effects.

I have no idea about how to fix this.
