Please, Where do we download Trisquel Pro 2.2.2? There appears to be no way to get there from the download page.

Why would you need an old version of Trisquel?

The pro and edu editions of 4.X are not yet available. So I thought we could use the 2.x versions till such time.

Any way I am trying to connect to the old repositories using 4.x. Hope this works.

Ah, now I see that too. Sorry, can't tell you where to get the old version. I'm using Trisquel only since 4.0.1, so that's the oldest iso I have on my hdd. But maybe someone who's in charge will appear here soon.

I believe the difference between the different editions is mainly the default selection of installed packages. Thus, it would be better to get/make this list and to install it on a newer Trisquel (either the LTS or the brand new one).

But the repositories across the different versions (not editions!) appear to be different. Now I need to find out if the application software packaged with the various editions can be cross matched.
E.g. Can you get some package from edu into pro and across versions (as in Run version 4.x with repository of 2.x?)

Usually, when I can't get some package from the Trisquel repos, I go and enable Ubuntu repos of the corresponding version. Trisquel 4.0 works with 10.04 Lucid repos, 4.5 with the ones from 10.10 Maverick.

I believe it is the exception and not the rule.

It is an exception that I can't get what I want from Trisquel repositories.

I have an old laptop which doesn't work with Trisquel 4.0 or 4.5 because
of plymouth. I have Trisquel 3.5 in it. Just talking: I think that it
would be important to have good support for older versions since no
every laptop can run newer versions, although it is not the normal rule
in the GNU world, where newer versions use to be more compatible than
the older ones.

ok, that makes sense. But how is it possible that you have my email in the quote? Does everyone here see my email instead of my nickname? I thought the email wasn't made public.

This forum is integrated with a mailing list. Email clients put both
name and email address, the software posting forum posts to the list
puts only the email.

Great! and thanks too! But there is a problem. Since it is two generations old, no one is seeding; Transmission is just idling. Any suggestions for http/ ftp downloads would be greatly welcome. Thanks again.

Oh, shoot I was gonna hope there would be a http seed on the torrent. Then you may have to talk to Ruben and see if he has any of the old ISO's laying around. I checked the cd image website and tried checking the old ftp server but for some reason the link is down.

I am a stickler for history, and collecting certain things. I would be interested in past versions as well.. Perhaps I will see if I can get them from Ruben as I am usually seeding to help those in the future.
