:) here is a shot with the system in action:
WOW :D I Need to save money :D
looks really nice! Very stylish. I actually disagree on matte screens - agree that reflections can be a pain, but in my experience the matte ones tend to diffract the light in a way that doesn't help clarity.
Re the comments about photos on the website - I thought you could really use a better photo of the laptops, they don't look at all attractive in the photos. I guess I'd probably personalize them with stickers. The main reason that I wouldn't purchase one though, is the keyboard - I like proper shaped keys that help with touch-typing, not those flat chicklets. One of the things I like about the Lenovo is its keyboard. I really like the Dell Alienware hardware, they keyboard on that is gorgeous, but I expect it takes 'non free' to whole new levels! :)
So anyway, just a thought - next time you're adding to the range, if you can keep keyboard design in mind?
But this all-in-one really does look like a lovely machine.
Few impressions:
1. +1 for posting a real picture of the product (*should be on the site too)
2. The stand reminds me of iMac, maybe would look better black.
3. Who told manufacturers that glossy screens look good, seriously I only heard people bitching about anything shiny in tech products, be that the reflecting light or the inevitable fingerprints.
4. I hope you don't hate me, my comments are intended as constructive. Even thou it wouldn't be too soon, my next computer purchase would definitely be from libre.thinkpenguin.com
:)
We offer matter screens on the laptops. I'm not sure if we could do that with this system. I'll take a look into it though if you are interested.
Sorry for reviving this old post (even if it is always a little bit of free marketing :D) but, do you (ThinkPenguin.com) have plans to start shipping a Wireless small metalic keyboard like the one that apple have ?
I know that their is a lot of imitations out there so it is not exclusive to them.
PS: It may not be wireless, but something small (with or without numerical numbers, even if I prefer with them) and metalic (because the plastic burns and gets easily dirty)
Thanks in Advance
We have a number of keyboards that we ship or would if we ever got around to adding the options/items to our catalog...
This is one we ship with the The Home Theater PC Libre Style v3:

We also have a black wireless keyboard of more traditional design with a super key. Not sure if we ever added it as an option anywhere:

There are always a lot of things on the to do list...
The first one would be perfect without the touchpad (a separate big touchpad would be awesome as well !), but it would not be a Home Theatre Keyboard if there was no "mouse".
The second one is more classy, and yet more beautiful. Just one question, did he came directly with the Linux Super key or did you add it after that ?
No, it isn't native to the keyboard.
You can do it with any keyboard:

It is a high quality vinyl overlay "sticker". We avoid the MS logo where we can (not that this matters much). We have a black wired keyboard for instance which we get without any branding (initially).
Here is a picture of it before the branding:
