Potential documentation issue
I support staff who use Trisquel. Two users have stated that the "Trisquel (Graphical)" documentation on the https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/how-create-liveusb page does not work with the trisquel_11.0.1_amd64.iso file. I helped them both with the dd method instead, but this issue probably needs a look from someone over here. This might be preventing people who are already on Trisquel and not familiar with the command line from being able to make more Trisquel USBs which could make upgrading more difficult than it needs to be.
Did you catch what was the error?
UPDATE:
All seems to be working fine using: usb-creator-gtk
I was able to create an LiveUSB with no errors, even boot it on a virtual machine (using BIOS) for now, as it is the only "machine" I have at hand.
$ sha256sum -c trisquel_11.0.1_amd64.iso.sha256
trisquel_11.0.1_amd64.iso: La suma coincide
Maybe some other issue was the reason for the failure, a bad port, a bad memory, a bad iso image.
Some other fellow users in the forum might like to confirm if they can successfully build a LiveUSB with usb-creator-gtk, the other GUI tools mentioned on the wiki are not supported by the project so I can't say much about them.
Regards
There were no problems here, too.
The example screenshots also show writing trisquel_11.0.1_amd64.iso to a usb stick was successful when updating the documentation some time ago.
