How do I keep companies from spying on me?
As far as I know is to use a free gnu/linux like trisquel and an encrypted no logging vpn service. What is are some good free as in freedom vpns that are secure?
What are the best privacy search engines?
How do I keep my browser and other apps from being too unique in its fingerprint? The more unique it is the more likely they can log you better for advertisements.
I suppose also using an adblock would work too.
Is there an app that has a list of tracking sites to be blocked from my computer?

Privacy Badger is not an adblocker per se. It stops third-party trackers from tracking you without your permission.

You can use both Ublock Origin and Privacy Badger simultaneously.

https://www.eff.org/privacybadger

Our aim is not to block ads, but to prevent non-consensual invasions of people's privacy because we believe they are inherently objectionable. We also want to create incentives for advertising companies to do the right thing. Of course, if you really dislike ads, you can also install a traditional ad blocker.

[...] If as you browse the web, the same source seems to be tracking your browser across different websites, then Privacy Badger springs into action, telling your browser not to load any more content from that source.

[...] Actually, nothing in the Privacy Badger code is specifically written to block ads. Rather, it focuses on disallowing any visible or invisible "third party" scripts or images that appear to be tracking you even though you specifically denied consent by sending a Do Not Track header.

Use Tor Browser for most of your ''sensitive'' browsing, and a VPN for your Banking and the usual web surf..you can change your DNS, use free proxies too

Lots of VPN services around, it's really a matter of choice and test, there is free as freedom server hosting company but i don't know of a VPN company running a Trisquel OpenVPN server ;-)

here is a good service i can recommend

The point about Tor Browser is it not unique, your camouflage is that all browsers are identical

I use privacy badger, ublock, https everywhere, I do disable third party scripts. Do not track header consent, I do run a test with panopticlick, I saved any file by default into a USB DRIVE. I USE BLEACHBIT. I BROWSE PRIVATELY.. Disable shock-wave pluggings, use Youtube all HTML5, instead. I'm TALKING ABOUT firefox browser 47.0.

As far as blocking the ISP this works for all your devices:

https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/free-software-wireless-n-mini-vpn-router-tpe-r1100

It won't stop websites from tracking you or anything like that... it's mainly to hinder an ISP from spying on you where you don't need a super private setup. If you've got the possibility of government agents spying on you and your in a scenario where you need more protection Tor and Tor bridges are probably the best thing to utilize. Tor bridge will probably keep your ISP from detecting that you are using Tor. It's not perfect- but it's better than non-bridge mode. If it doesn't matter if your ISP knows you use Tor then your best bet is to not use bridge mode.

Either bridges or VPN before Tor.
You connect to the VPN and after that you open the TorBB. That will hide Tor usage from the ISP. The ISP will know you use a VPN and will only see encrypted traffic the whole time. I highly recommend everyone to use a decent VPN all the time, it's the bare minimum nowadays if you want to maintain **some** privacy.
Again, at least when using TorBB for important stuff - don't allow javascript. The Firefox browser is huge and it's attack vector really doesn't need further increase via javascript..
