When I press the Control key

I can not do anything after that

alimiracle - i'm sorry but i can't help you much.

I don't know if you need orca, but if you don't, remove it by:
sudo apt-get remove --purge gnome-orca
cheers

Did you turn key echo off? Use 'orca+space' to get the preferences gui. On the 'key echo' tab, you can set what keys, if any, are echoed by orca. This can stop orca from saying 'control', 'alt', 'shift', etc. Even if all keys are echoed, the keystrokes should pass through to the app in focus; this is just a suggestion. I'm using orca without these problems, and have key echo set to 'word'. Which version of orca are you using? I added the accessibility-dev ppa, and updated the whole stack, which includes orca 3.14.

Dave

sorry for being dumb. i mean of course you need orca because you are blind..

is this issue new? has this started just recently? has orca worked fine untill now when you copied files or other ops involving the ctrl key?
if so you could try remove it completely and purge all the settings and folders and then reinstall it (someone will need to help you with that)

anyway, being that i would like to help you for i understand this issue is quite annoying for you, i sent an email to the orca mailing list and told them to answer me on mail or directly here on forum

cheers alimiracle

I've been running orca in Trisquel since 5.0 and have not experienced trouble with using the control key for operations like cut, copy, paste and rename. Trisquel 7's gedit does not work with orca; I've filed issues on orca and trisquel bug trackers, with no results. I use mousepad instead. Alimiracle, does your control key issue happen in all apps, or just gedit?

This sounds a bit like this bug

https://trisquel.info/en/issues/12125

(the workaround suggested was to remove ibus)

Maybe it is enough to switch it off. That can be done from the language settings (in the "System settings"). A drop-down list at the bottom of the window.

didn't think about that - I had to move ibus to none in the language setting for it kept changing my keyboard language!
