Problem with the netinstall image?

I noticed the triskel packages are in the repository already. I have a Debian remotely hanging around on a second partition so the choice was obvious: downloaded the netinstall image, checked the md5sum and tried to install it over the Debian. However I get the following error message: "mirror does not support selected release." It's the same with french and spanish mirrors.

The md5sum of the image was correct, I downloaded and burned it twice but the error is still there.

Is that the correct way of installing Triskel anyway? There is no separate image for it yet, so I assumed one has to install a basic system without gnome and load triskel from there.

What iso was that?

It was netinstall for Dagda.

I believe that, after a netinstall done, it is only a matter of executing:
$ sudo apt-get install triskel triskel-recommended

Given the error message, I suppose you have attempted something more complicated (e.g., a modification of /etc/apt/sources.list).

I attempted to install Trisquel from the netinstall image. The installation stopped, because there was some unknown problem with the mirror. The installer told me to press Alt+F4 to look at further information about what exactly happened and in the fourth terminal I found that error message.

Oh! So, in the end, your problem has nothing to do with Triskel! You confused me.

I guess the mirror had a problem during your installation. Have you retried recently?

I wanted to do a netinstall in order to have Triskel and Trisquel separated on different partitions.

I did the netinstall twice. I waited a couple days between both attempts. I checked the md5sum before the second attempt and still got the same error - mirror does not support the selected version (which was Dagda).

It would be nice if someone could check the netinstall image and either confirm that there is a bug in it, or that it is perfectly OK and the problem is on my side.

I just now tried to do the netinstall in a virtual machine to see whether it would work or not. When I did it, it got stuck at this screen: http://i.imgur.com/HtTGv.png

It isn't the same problem you had, but it's still a problem.

aha, so the mirrors did work as they should. I'll try the netinstall and report back.

Edit: got the same error again, ignored it, partitioned the disk normally and got a debootstrap error: "cannot load the release file" (I've translated it from German, so it might be a little different).
