Pulseaudio increase Cpu temperature
I'm currently running Trisquel 7 on a Librebooted Lenovo X60.
The laptop has no cards inside(no mini pci wifi/no modem card...but i left the cables anyway)and no speaker connected.
After a fresh Install i've setup powertop following this:
http://www.libreboot.org/docs/misc/index.html#trisquel7_powertop
After few minutes logged the CPU temp start to increase and the only way to get down the temperature and fan speed is to Kill the Pulseaudio process.
So everything go dows from 85 C to 45 C and fan speed from 3600 to 2780 RPM.
If i open an audio file with Rhythmbox the CPU increase again.
Any ideas?

partly to up your post i will ask this
why are you playing audio with no speaker?
i'm listening through the headphone jack
dose this happen with other distros and pulseaudio?
I've tried to install few distros(Gnewsense/Parabola)with no luck.
I got some errors so i cannot check.I've used Unetbootin for make a bootable usb...any alternative to recommend?
Anyway the bootable USB of Gnewsense works on my x60s with Lenovo BIOS so using Unetbootin was ok.
I've installed Trisquel 6 too but Grub doesen't show me the Os at startup.
Anyone know how to boot two systems in Libreboot?
i also had this problem with unetbootin
try with the gnewsnese image using this command
dd if="gnewsense.iso" of="/dev/your_device_here"
also you could look at this:
http://libreboot.org/docs/gnulinux/grub_boot_installer.html
what about dual boot?is that possible?
yes you can change the default grub menu to have two boot options

PulseAudio is a solution to problems you may not have but that exist. Many users want to send the sound produced on their systems to the speakers of another system on the network. Alsa cannot do that. Recently, I did what is shown in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJADNOY615Y to record together the sound of my microphone and of my applications (very easy with PulseAudio). I have no idea how to do that with Alsa. I do not even remember it was possible to adjust Alsa's volume per application. Was it?
That's a PulseAudio feature. But remember, PulseAudio is usually used on top of ALSA, so ALSA is still running underneath :)
Removing Pulseaudio seems to work so far.
Anyway sometimes(happenend two times in the last 48hours) there's some other process pushing the CPU to 94 C and shut down the laptop(i'm almost sure is browser related)...need to find it.
Anyway how can i remove unecessary processes(like Orca) at startup?
EDIT:Ok when i run the Synaptic Package Manager it was getting stuck while loading and Orca was the main process stressing the CPU on the System Monitor.
So i've just removed Orca and now everything seems to work.
