Have been using version 5.5 for a couple of months and love it.

The only issue I have is that I have a site that I stream a security
camera to but the site uses flash 11 to display the page.

I have tried the alternatives but they dont seem to work on flash 11
and I would really like to be able to keep using this site.

Is there some way to use gnash or some other program and be able to
tell the site that it has the version of flash its looking for?

I hope I have explained what I am looking for, if not please let me
know and I will provide as much info as I can.

Thanks

I believe it will be easier to adopt another security solution that does not use Flash...

According to the Gnash user manual section "What Is Supported?" Gnash only supports up to flash version 9. Flash 11 will not work with gnash.

I don't have a solution for you other then the one Magic Banana suggested.

Lightspark! It is a free software project that can run later implementations of flash. The very latest release, just a few days ago, allows you to watch flash on the BBC website. I think there is something called Adobe Air, something like that, which the latest version supports too. Lightspark is in the Trisquel repositories :)

I don't know how well Gnash and Lightspark play together. Lightspark isn't meant to be good at implementing older versions of Flash, where Gnash excells.

Have in mind it is not the latest version.

They usually don't. It is an issue of the way browsers handle browser
plugins. When there are two plugins for the same mime-type/file type
(application/x-schockwave-flash; swf) there are usually problems - the
content with that type is not rendered correctly. In GNU IceCat (and
Abrowser and Firefox) there is a work-around - one of the plugins must
be disabled from Tools/ Addons ->Plugins.
