It is indeed a problem. A quick search revealed this

This project looks like something that allows reading Discourse posts
from the CLI. From README, however, it seems this project is not 100%
feature-complete.

Also, I don't claim that it's 100% free software with no nonfree
dependencies. It likely is but I simply haven't checked, nor have I
used or built it.

Ultimately, someone should write a Woob[1] module for Discourse — that's
probably the best currently-existing framework for making such
platforms usable in freedom

Thanks for mentioning woob that I had forgotten about.

The documentation says it can be installed manually, with dependencies manually installed, and all the listed python packages are in trisquel repositories, so I definitely should try it.

It does not solve the issue of discourse but it lists so many websites useful for me.
