I am reinstalling Trisquel. I intend on keeping only /home partition. However, I don't have experience with this procedure. Should I include any other partitions, or is there some special steps I should incur to keep data properly? From my understanding, All I need to do it mark the home flag with home, and do not format and keep existing data, is this correct, and all that is needed?

You must choose the "Something else" type of installation. At the disk partitioning step, indicate, using the related drop-down menu, that your existing /home partition is to be mounted at /home, and, using the related check box, that it is *not* to be formatted. Besides that, you can do whatever you want. Nevertheless you need a partition that will be mounted at / and you certainly want a swap partition too (you may reuse the existing one).

That works without LVM (that I have never learnt) at least.
