Screen black coming out of suspend
Suspend does indeed suspend but coming out of suspend and I'm left with a black screen.
About 4 years ago with Ubuntu I could get round this by whitelisting my graphics driver in the acpi-support file but it looks like this method has now been deprecated.
Any suggestions on what to try? When I had the latest Mint on this machine suspend worked fine.
I am having a similar issue:

Do you see a white cursor in the upper left hand corner? What if you wait for about a minute? Usually, my laptop will wake up after that amount of time.
The issue with mine is slighlty different in that my screen is unpowered, no backlight, no cursor.
I'm experiencing a similar problem on a Lenovo X100e: suspend works fine, but when I try to unsuspend I get a black screen and the keyboard is non-responsive. After a minute or so it seems that pressing the "Fn" key wakes up the machine. I have not had this problem since using Fedora 14 on this machine, so it is likely a Gnome issue.
