Hi there.

I had taken a break from Trisquel but want to come back. Whilst I was on my break I picked up an old favorite of mine from years back - "The Settlers Online". Only problem is it used use use Adobe Flash, as the flash plugin is no longer installed I'm not sure what its using. It seems to work on Google Chrome (chromebook) and Firefox (Linux mint), however dispite not using flash, Abrowser doesn't load the game. I did get limited sucess with Opera (Trisquel / hardware acceleration disabled).

If anyone knows what I maybe missing / needing to install to allow it to work on Abrowser I would appreciate.

Thanks

Hi, maybe you want to try Widelands, a The settlers 2 like game available on Trisquel.

I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but this may be relevant to your interests:

I have not tried it out so far, but from what I understood back when I found it (better check for yourself), I think it is a free-ish clone, written in C#, of Volker Wertich's non-free 1993 classic "Settlers", the first of what would become a series.
But the free (?) clone program comes without graphics and such, so you would either use it in combination with non-free assets from the original game such as Christoph Werner's cute and adorable graphics, or find/make a matching free replacement, but I'm not aware of any.

I feel the cuteness of Settlers (1) is a major point, and Widelands lacks that, so it doesn't appeal to me.
