Should snapd and snapcraft be added to xenial purge?
snapd is the Ubuntu Snappy installer and updater and snapcraft is the program to create them.
Since Snappy packages rely on Canonical's servers (that run non-free software) and require interaction between their servers where they have total control in an App Store model, should these packages be removed for now?
Maybe if Snappy is brought back, it could use a Trisquel or FSF repository like how Abrowser uses a custom extension repository.

I think that they are supported by non-free software then, yes.
Is the Trisquel team willing to run their own Snap repository and change the source code in snapd and snapcraft to link to it? If not, still pulling in the Snap management packages could open up the door to non-free software and letting Canonical dictate everything.
