At shutdown: A program is still running

Trying to shut down, I'm sometimes greeted with this weird message. (See attachment.)
What does it mean and how can I find out which program it is to begin with?

I am a translator!
I sometimes see the same thing when I'm shutting down after using the computer for a long time. It's probably not exclusive to Trisquel, though.

Firefox used to do that to me,
What you might do is go to processes and see what programs are running before you actually shut down.
