Simple Evolution Setup Q
Hello. Novice GNU person here. I'm trying to first time set up an email account. I go through the Evoution setup but it doesn't work.
I think it needs a password to my provider (comcast.net) but nowhere does it ask for a password.
Where might that be in the setup wizard?
Thank you.
Zem

The first time you check or send mail, I think Evolution will ask you
for passwords, and offer the chance to store them.

You are correct. On first POP/IMAP/SMTP/whatever connection, if the server
prompts for a password, Evolution will ask the user for one.
Thanks Dave. I looked for that, but I've tried to send with no such prompt.
Check again the protocols, server addresses and ports (the account is modifiable from the Edit/Preferences menu): https://askubuntu.com/questions/583504/setup-evolution-for-comcast-mapi-server-on-12-04
What version of Trisquel and Evolution do you have?
Magic, comcast did indeed come through finally, it just took a while. Thank you for the heads up, and thanks all.
